Does Anyone Offer Online Layaway

"I'll sleep with you" in Japan: Antoine de Maximy the land of the rising sun ...

Antoine Maximy
The project "Tintin cathodic Antoine Maximy is to visit one of many countries, without initial preparation, and land in places he does not know while filming his meetings (superficial or deeper) with small cameras allowing him freedom of movement as laid down on his clothes. The ultimate goal is to achieve an invite Homestay and even sleep there. All of this condensed into 52 minutes for each episode, watch in hand! This innovative concept has been a big ratings success on France 5 and DVDs that were fired were sold like hotcakes. I have a strong preference for the latter is devoted to its first part, to the vicissitudes of Maximy Japan. He explains in the bonus at the time of starting to shoot in Morocco he learned that the series would perhaps stop for lack of budget. He decided at the last minute to change his destination he believed to be the last to fly to Japan that he really wanted to know. And so he landed in Tokyo in improvisation the most complete, with only a hotel room for the evening (safety net in case of unsuccessful meetings). If the first moments were particularly difficult because of the language (see clip below) he was able gradually to adapt and make themselves understood by Japanese encountered.

We can also see in this story of extreme kindness and warm hospitality shown by the indigenous attitudes that break into pieces the myth that the Japanese would little binder and welcoming : Almost all people agree to stay for one night the "squatter" Maximy , which is far from always the case in other countries visited! The meeting with Suguimoto , cook in a restaurant French school is funny, especially when talking about the Japanese custom of hospitality, but also very emotional when talking about his dead wife. Not trivial either one with the surfer manager of a karaoke. But the moment the most hilarious is the traveler's encounter with cathodic owners of a car breaks provincial who warmly welcome him and offer the food and shelter. Sake and Japanese beer décrispent atmosphere and good humor that is installed in a memorable meal (see the hilarious little video clip below).

If we can do a little mischievous claims that the backpacker is not enough to show us the ancient Japanese sites, even if we understands that the improvised nature and precipitated the trip necessarily limited its tourism aspect. But we can only praise the beautiful humanity of Antoine Maximy , his humor as much as franchouillard british , and great listening skills that make confident nearly all of the people he meets during his travels. Human qualities that add to the richness of a change of scenery (and, dare I say refreshing) that Maximy is definitely the star, but almost the same way as those he meets and he is naturally value. This DVD is to have no hesitation even for those who have seen the program on TV because of the nice bonuses await, including deleted scenes cut editing, and a scene of 10-minute multi-angle (not to mention the second story devoted to the journey of Globetrotter in Ethiopia, he is also very interesting but irrelevant for my present chronic).

Do Pearl Thongs Work?

"The Complete Sixties Stella Vander: Magma life before!

This disc is a real surprise! It shows that Stella Vander before being a chorister and soloist in the legendary band Magma , was in the early 60's this young singer thirteen years a bit of a tomboy and a member of this movement called Anti- yéyé which consisted of artists who sought to caricature and singers live in parallel fashion such Sylvie Vartan, Sheila , Johnny Hallyday , Claude Francois and others (see the book on the subject of Christian Eudeline Anti-yéyé/Une another story of the sixties ). This beautiful double digipack CD offers 40 tracks that are so integral to the first career Stella, and it is clear that these songs often parodic still hold the road even as the oldest Why not me dating from 1963 when the singer says, very playful, she can also make Wo-wo -wo-wo-wo-wo and Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah of Sheila and sing like a toad! Twisting, especially when you consider the amazing musical work that will then perform Stella in the early 70s in Magma joining Christian Vander (including the 2 masterpieces Group Theusz hamtaahk and the recent Ka: Kohntarkosz anteria ). The title is singing my favorite dating back to June 1964 is a real small tube that remains in memory in the hollow of the ear long after listening, and blues New wave of October 1964, a fairly standard blues-jazz but very original in terms of words, they consist solely of shares of the biggest films of the New Wave of Truffaut / Godard / Resnais and others, which can be heard in the last verse the title of a film huge sounding music to my ears: Hiroshima mon amour ...

So, in the year 1966, Stella comes to accrue three years of success, and is transformed by the force of things in real singer on the charts, not banal paradox when we know that starting the process was intended satire. It is undoubtedly the reason which grows to abandon this career took a different direction than initially desired. So she takes her retirement that year, at the age of 16 years (and yes, what a dream), but not giving up music altogether. In 1969, she met Christian Vander will become her husband, with whom she built the architecture of Magma, however, appearing as a singer only from the third album in 1973 (the mythical Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh ). It will remain unwavering support for Vander , performing some of his solo albums, and created with Francis Linon Seventh Records label in 1987 and Ex-voltage in 2002, producing artists close to the movement of the group (the famous Musik-zheul ) and reissuing all albums Magma under ideal conditions (compliance Design kits intended by Vander particular). Finally she closes the loop by returning to his solo career in 1991 with the disk test love, making us the gift of his wonderful voice within compositions internalized. A second album of the same version was born in 2004, The heart going to . She also continues her work with Magma (latest album: Ëmëhntëhtt-re in 2009).

The heart up to (2004)
Do not hesitate to get four DVDs Triton recorded in Paris in 2005, for 4 weeks (4 DVD Magma Myths and Legends, 35 years of music, Triton 4 weeks from May 10 to June 4, 2005 ), representing a weekly period of the directory. Stella and Christian Vander are stunning, and the other members training, united as ever and apparently aware of the exceptional nature of the concerts they are doing (revisit entire career Magma in a month, in a room that lends itself ideally, and attach DVD forever).

"Beautiful Day" by U2 at Live 8 July 2, 2005: magic!

I will not insult the reader who takes any time to read my prose to present the rock band U2 given the fact that for the better and for worse, the four musicians who are held up Poster for a good twenty years. It is also not surprising that this training is charismatic as successful as it is known, since many think it was from the outset many cards to play to know the global triumph perhaps undeserved: an asset composition and performing some service lyrical and catchy songs almost all constructed as real hymns to the attention of an audience looking for the transcendent (but not very demanding in terms of innovative musical concepts). Having loved despite all this training I took his debut, however my distance gradually guilty noting their desire to know a mainstream audience and status of musicians and megalomaniac millionaire (with the concessions that go with it, alas), little attitude agreement with the idea that I was doing ethics rock, I remember my favorite band is Joy Division (without a doubt the greatest modern rock band, honest and innovative).

U2: The Edge (guitar), Bono (vocals), Adam Clayton (bass), Larry Mullen Junior
(drums)
The side preaching of growing Catholic Bono was also not for me please. Still I kept an eye (and ear) toward the Irish quartet, sensing that I might do one day still vibrate with the turning of an album, or even a only single. What finally arrived at the dawn of the 21st century with Beautiful day, this simple song and magical, unstoppable and irresistible, the kind that give you goosebumps and chills in hollow back, defending your body.

Beautiful day obviously takes all his strength when played live, and what is more beautiful than discover at the huge Live 8 July 2 2005 conducted simultaneously in London, Tokyo, Berlin, Rome, Paris, Johannesburg, Moscow and Washington DC (for the record, this concert humanitarian collective is the successor to Live Aid created by Bob Geldof July 13, 1985 in London and Philadelphia and broadcast live on the airwaves around the world). During this memorable performance, the band and the crowd that day and found themselves united as transported by the humanity of this unifying song of hope. Four minutes and forty seconds enthralling were happily immortalized on DVD and can therefore be ironed at will, finding that, definitely, some dazzling choruses and verses can sometimes change the world (aside from the debt of 18 poorest countries was finally obtained after this musical event initiated by Bono, even if such activism run by mega-stars here and there was criticism, particularly by associations , Third World activists and humanitarian).

Sore Gums Around Tooth Extraction

"The bloody doll," a great success on television of the 70s!

The genius watchmaker Mr Gaillard (Julien Verdier)
While the new generation of digital media video poking its nose through the Blu- Ray and the old VHS has finally broken his pipe, one still wonders why one of the most legendary French audiovisual heritage soap operas are still not on DVD. The bloody doll , directed by Robert Scipio and Marcel Cravenne in 1976 and aired several times on public service before joining the archives of the site of the INA (which also offers downloads for a small fee), has been seared generations of spectators. I hoped to find its republication in the excellent catalog company Koba Films / Memory TV on DVD which publishes many successful television for years 60 and 70 (such Age happy, loved Janice , How not to marry a billionaire , The girl Avignon, The Beaux Messieurs de Bois-gold or Island's thirty coffins ). Unfortunately this is not always the case. So what do they expect to edit it? That is all dead?

The Marquise of Coulteray (Edith Scob)
This beautiful creation of the 70 is the inventive adaptation of the novels The doll and bloody The machine murder, both published in 1923 by Gaston Leroux . This fantastic writer of the early 20th century, first court reporter for the daily morning and novelist and writer famous for his famous works involving police portrays the convict Cheri-bibi or Detective Rouletabille ( The Mystery of the Yellow Room , The perfume of the lady in black ) certainly reached the peak of his art with this cruel history with Gothic accents. ; The TV series made him proud to honor, maintaining a dark thriller in the heart of a story paradoxically horror and romantic. The 6 episodes of 52 minutes narrate the tragic story of hideous bookbinder and poet of the Ile Saint Louis Benedict Masson unjustly sentenced to death and executed, and whose brain was retrieved by the surgeon Jacques Quentin and watch the brilliant Mr Gaillard to be grafted on their joint creation, the controller Gabriel with a stunning beauty . Benedict Masson , played masterfully by the strange actor Jean-Paul Zehnacker , then relived through the body of the controller and could not bring himself to mention the daughter of a watchmaker Christine (played by actress Yolande Folliot ) he was secretly in love despite her was promised to the surgeon's apprentice sorcerer. He did not give up either to avenge the real culprits of the murder with which he was accused and which had led to the guillotine.

The Marquis of Coulteray (Georges Wod)
The surgeon Jacques Quentin (Dominica Leverd)
The controller Gabriel (Ludwig Gaum)
The appearance of Marquis and Marchioness of Coulteray and their manners more than bizarre, face glacial Herculean strength curious and approach the PLC Gabriel, the scene where Benedict Masson on his doorstep shows his bloody hands while having a rictus of terror (see the video clip at end of column) : so many dizzying moments that remained etched in my mind as a young teenager when I discovered them when they first broadcast on the second chain of ORTF (the first episode beginning on the evening of September 17, 1976 on Antenne 2 ). Never violent scenes here, but just a strange atmosphere maintaining an enjoyable unease in the viewer.

Gaston Leroux
It may think that the fierce militant abolitionist Gaston Leroux doubtless found a way to annoy the supporters of capital punishment with this great allegorical story of a man killed by the company but still reliving finally love, then forget . This series is still one important example of what television quality 60 and 70 years was able to do so despite limited financial resources. Far from the caricature of what became the Cold Current TV, stuffed with money, poor, and vacuum.
